At some point of our lives we'd like to travel all over the world before we die, Some people loves to explore and discover what they don't find in their own country. We may encounter the weirdest things , a culture shock as a result probably. We might made early wrong conclusions towards their practices, but we really don't know what's their purpose and deep devotion to it. It's a matter of respect for each other's beliefs like 5+4 = 9; in other way they could get 9 by just adding 6+3. This following traditions/culture may be new to us or very wrong for us, but somehow i think a deep study is a need for understanding its mysteries.
1. BULLET ANT GLOVES
The Satere-Mawe tribe of Amazon Bullet ant ritual is done only by male members of their tribe. This is a test that you can't become a man unless you take part in this ritual. Going straight to the point, Bullet Ant Glove ritual is putting your hand in a glove that is full of bullet ants. And for you to remind that bullet ant is called 'bullet' because of it's sting that has the same impact of a gun's bullet when fired, and also Bullet Ants can make your whole hand gone black and paralyzed. The Bullet ants will be given a sleeping medicine, and then the ritual participant must put his hand in the glove full of sleeping ants. When the ants started to bite him, the participant should dance to forget the pain. However, they have to endure this initiation 20times to prove they are a man.
2. HINDU THAIPUSAM FESTIVAL PIERCINGS
Thaipusam is a Hindu festival celebrated by tamil communities like Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Myanmar. The word 'Thaipusam' came from 'Thai' and name of a star 'Pusam'. The holiday commemorates Murugan by killing the evil demon Soorapadman. They do this with a painful piercings around their body, large spears, hooks and other sharp objects were torned on their body parts. They have to travel 4kilometers from Sri Srinavasa Temple to Sri Thendayuthapani Temple to finish their procession.
3. EL COLACHO BABY JUMPING
steppin' out of brutality, El Colacho or baby jumping is a tradition of Spanish people since 1620. El Colacho is a part of the event of Catholic feast of Corpus Christi. El Colacho participants has to wear devil look outfits and jumps through babies that lies in a mattress. Thiey believe that doing this rituals will keep the devil away from babies, to cleanse them from original sins and to ensure their safe passage to life.
4. LA TOMATINA
Is a festival that is held in Valencian town of Bunol, La Tomatina is a tomato fight of crowd that was originally came from a simple crowd fight of vegetable throwing riot. Same time next year another throwing riot incident happened and soon the fight was adopted and became a tomato fight. La Tomatina's rule is to squeeze first tomatoes before throwing it to others to avoid injuries and personal fights. The participants should only throw tomatoes only and they should give way to trucks and lorries.
5. FINGER CUTTING OF DANI TRIBE
The Dani (Ndani) tribe from Papua new Guinea. When a member of Dani's tribe died, his family has to cut-off their fingers to show deep love, grief and sorrow for it's burial. fingers that will be cutted depends on their loved ones who died.
6. MOURNING OF MUHARRAM
This is one of the weirdest culture of muslim community. This was done by Shia Islam that is the second largest group of muslim religion, 'muharram' is the first month of muslim calendar, as a celebration, Shia muslims beats each other with weapons like knives, spears, whips and any other dangerous weapons.
