Robert Bob Reyes from Mozilla Philippines and Mr. Inaki Lamata and Kimmy from Eat Out Manila, introduced their viral mobile application in Vigattin Radio.
Eat Out Manila, a new online reservations system for restaurants that comes bundled with a mobile application and a website to help diners book their tables instantly. Armed with the promise to make reserving tables easier and more convenient for both restaurants and dinners, Eat Out Manila aims to progressively change the way Filipinos dine in restaurants. Mr. Inaki said that their business system is not new and actually it was already taken the technology by other countries in the world.
Mr. Inaki points out what is the cons of manual booking or reservations, like privacy of information, incorrect name spellings, hassle on calls etc. Mr. Inaki says that together with their application and website, they solved all the problems that's why it made filipino dining in easier. Eat Out Manila grants the user the most convenient way to book a restaurant by giving the list of restaurants within 250 meters to 50 kilometers and by letting you search for the restaurants based on the user's cuisine preference (e.g, Spanish, Italian, Filipino) and budget.
Co-Anchor Elison asked if they also have problems on reservations, Mr. Inaki answered they always monitor and associate transaction to their partnership with the restaurants. so all the data's in their smartphone are always updated and available.
Mr. Inaki also planning to expand it's grasp not only in Manila but also in famous cuisine in the Philippines like Cebu and Boracay. Thus, the application also provides the prices and discounts of the food which really help save the time of the users. Mr. Inaki said that their technology came the from spain with credits to his friend, and they decided to bring it and innnovate in the Philippines.
Their application reservation also has a scope depends on the time arrival of the user. the management of the restaurant can release the booking to others when they reached the grace period they set.
Because of their successful application, Mr. Inaki recieved a lot of commendations and planning of integration to other companies and right now they still talking about of it. Mr. Inaki explained the scenario when they integrate to other companies, example the application grab a taxi, were in you will arrive at this area exactly the time you give and then the taxi should wait for you there before you arrived. in the integration, for example, the user of eat out manila app, will be dining in this specific restaurant but they have no car to go there, so when eat out manila engage together with the grab taxi, the process will be the eat out manila app feature will notify the grab a taxi that they have a customer who needs a taxi to ride. And what is more convenient in that, the taxi already knows how much the customer will pay and where they will be going.

Bob said that Mozilla has seen filipino smartphone users potential on using it, because of a lot of filipino mobile developers. Mr. Bob said that Mozilla was planning to release a phone ranging from $25 or 1,000php+.
But the talk gone in one very immense problem nowadays in the Philippines, the internet connection with unfair price. Mr.Inaki says they always wanted to improve their applications but everytime they add another feature or data, the slower the loading will be, so they were doing their bast as possible as they can to insert changes with light size to not affect the user's loading access.
Moving on the discussion, Mozilla tries to tour in different parts of the Philippines for free and to encourage volunteers to learn and to share the developments of applications, which the students can benefit.
