While most of us are busy engaging ourselves with where to spend the holidays and where to tour this season, Vigattin Radio offers another insightful and timely episode about travel and tours and its aid to tourism. Our remarkable guest for last week’s episode was Mr. Jojo Clemente, the Managing Director of Worldwalker Destination and the Project Director of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), which boasts of 535 members and affiliates on its roster.

The holidays are just around the corner. While most of us are busy engaging ourselves with where to spend the holidays and where to tour this season, Vigattin Radio offers another insightful and timely episode about travel and tours and its aid to tourism. Our remarkable guest for last week’s episode was Mr. Jojo Clemente, the Managing Director of Worldwalker Destination and the Project Director of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), which boasts of 535 members and affiliates on its roster.

Mr. Clemente talked about the in-demand local destinations in the Philippines as well as undiscovered getaways that are little known to most tourists. He also cited the tourist destinations, particularly in Visayas (and Palawan), which were affected by the recent calamities, as well as told of the steps being laid down by PTAA in order to help these areas. He also did not fail to mention the impact of national security to the growth of tourism.

The warnings and information about fly-by-night travel agencies were also imparted. This information would help prevent fraud by bogus travel agencies and would really be beneficial to those who are planning to book a trip for the first time.

The 21st Travel Tour Expo (TTE) 2014, entitled ‘Love Life, Love Travel’, was also featured in Mr. Clemente’s discussion. The annual three-day event will be held on February 14 to 16, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City and will present an array of 240 exhibitors, which include airline companies, hotels, travel and tours agencies and many others. The exhibitors will offer exciting low-priced budget trips and cut-rate packages that can be availed nowhere else but only on the event itself.
