We were joined today by two Johns - Mr. John Ruero, VP Externals of the Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE) and Mr. John Forcado, an accomplished professional photographer.
Sir John Ruero talked about the activities of PSITE this summer. Because our IT professors and PSITE members are on summer vacation, they are attending various trainings offered by PSITE's industry partners. These training are conducted for free and these are actual venues for our educators to enhance and improve their teacher skills. Just last week, IBM conducted a teacher training on website security. This is only one aspect of IT security, and the participants learned how to hack websites and apply patches to the sites' vulnerabilities, among others. PSITE will also have a strategic planning this May 3-5 with the board members of all PSITE regional chapters to plan for their agenda and events for the whole year.
During our second segment, we tackled the upcoming Vigattin Photography Workshop to be held on June 1-2. This workshop will be conducted by Sir John Forcado, who just recently held a similar workshop for photographers. In two days, participants will learn the foundations of photography like camera settings and features, framing, lighting, and composition. They will also have the chance to meet celebrity models during the photoshoot, and consequently build up their portfolio. Lastly, they will learn how to post-process a photo and discover some photo manipulation techniques.
So, stand by for more updates about Vigattin Photography Workshop. This is for people who consider photography as a hobby or a serious career. For some of the ouputs made by Sir John Forcado, please visit vigattin.com and click the Photography category.
