Last Saturday, October 4, 2014, Vigattin Radio talked about a variety of interesting topics. They discussed the differences of traditional and alternative media, and the perks of online selling and marketing. Co-anchors Den Macaranas and Elison Barcelo were joined by guest anchor Paolo Santos.
Before they started the discussion, Vigattin Radio interviewed Angelo Songco (co-owner of Sugarleaf) thru phone patch. He told us that their workshop series about healthy foods had already rolled out. The workshop is in partnership with Jertie’s Kitchen and titled “The Green Guide to Eating Right”.
He added that the workshop’s objectives are to promote healthy foods and provide affordable ways on how to prepare it. Afterwards, guest anchor Paolo Santos talked about the perks and issues of alternative media (social media, news blogs, etc.) over traditional media (television, newspaper, radio). He said that presently, social networks are being used to provide the latest scoops. The traditional media will then have to verify it first before it became an inside story.
Meanwhile Den told Vigattin Radio that the current technology is very convenient for news reporting in which broadcasters can easily interview people, take pictures and verify some information through the internet. Paolo added that everyone now can be a news contributor that the check and balances of the government can be easily examined.
Elison Barcelo then discussed the advantages and disadvantages of online selling.
