A small island located in Barangay Tambo, Island Garden City of Samal is called the Vanishing Island because it really does vanish when the tide gets high. It is one of the reasons why visitors flock Samal Island, Davao del Norte.  

The island has been urbanized by nearby establishments. Mangrove trees have also been selected and planted on the island. The sea bed is grassy and sandy below. You can reach the Island of course by first getting to Samal Island itself since Vanishing Island is seen and is a part of it. Aside from Pearl Farm and Bluejaz, Vanishing Island is also one of the finest places to spend summer with family, friends and fellow workers. It is also a excellent spot for kids to do snorkeling and beach combing.

If you find your stay to have been very quick, worry not because there is a cottage just right in the middle section of the island so you can really stay there for as long as you want because it cannot be reached by the tides for the fact that it has been elevated. Location

The Vanishing Island is a few minutes away from Tambo, Babak, Island Garden City of Samal, province of Davao del Norte.

How to get there

There are flights from Manila to Davao del Norte daily and the flight takes about an hour or so.  Once there. board a boat just ride a boat to Samal Island, then a short bike ride, then another boat to reach the Vanishing Island.
