This flamed-shape peninsula is one of the three land masses jutting out of the coastline of Nasugbu into the South China Sea.

Sort of History

Historical accounts show Punta Fuego as the site of battle between the Spanish Galleon San Diego and the Dutch battleship Mauritius, which was said to carry a crew of pirates on December 14, 1600. “Fuego!” the Spanish captain commanded, “Fuego!”, thus the name Punta Fuego or point of fire.

Wonderful Development

Decades after the battle, Punta Fuego became the "Pedrosa's" and the "Roxas" Family Estates. During that time, there were no roads, electricity, and modern amenities, only white beaches and beautiful seas.

In 1997, Roxas Hacienda was developed into Peninsula de Punta Fuego by Landco Pacific Corporation and Roxaco Land Corporation. While in 2001, the Pedrosa Family estate was developed into another enclave in Punta Fuego, the Terrazas de Punta Fuego, by PeACE, Landco, and Roxaco. Their goal to build a premiere seaside residential community that will preserve the best of nature while introducing the modern amenities of a world-class resort was achieved. In 2001, the ceremonial ground-breaking signaled the start of development of Terrazas de Punta Fuego.

At present, Punta Fuego is the home of the most exclusive club in the country, blessed with two marinas, a golf course, and 12 beach coves. Here are some of its features:

How to get there

Punta Fuego is only two hours from Manila. When you reach Tagaytay, turn right and head towards Nasugbu. Just drive along that provincial highway for another 30-45 minutes or so.
