Zamboanga del Sur is one province in the Philippines where one can still see truly majestic natural attractions, and Pulacan Falls in particular in the town of Labangan displays this fact really well. Its weathered rocks and white cascading water is indeed a sight to behold.
Pulacan Falls is 400 square meters high is a fascinating work of nature. From its peak, several streams diverge, going in different directions and cascading into different pools. Though it may not give the impression of power like other waterfalls, Pulacan Falls instead displays a different character through artistry, with water flowing down through different terraces and pools. Surrounded by lush vegetation and unique rock formations, it is truly a scene showing the beauty of nature. The area has been a designated site for camps and jamborees because of the serene environment it has to offer.
Besides providing an attraction for the region, the falls also provides water for the Labangan Irrigation System and is used to nourish vast tracts of farmland in the region.
