Paras Beach Resort is a tourist destination nestled in a tropical paradise where water and land meets. It is one of the many beach resorts in Camiguin Island that is situated in the town of Mambajao. It is Camiguin’s most popular beach resort that is surrounded by crystal-clear water and the finest- white sand beach.

This resort was originally built by the Paras family as a private beach house. Presently, it became a famous landmark and tourist attraction for those who wants to have some comfort and decency when visiting the beautiful island-paradise of Camiguin.

Since it opened publicly in March 1995, Paras Beach Resort has delighted both foreign and local tourists. It has been a favorite place of private companies and government agencies for their out of town conferences and seminars.

Tourists and guests alike can choose from different type of accommodations.  Their Economy Room costs P2, 250 per night which is ideal for budgeted-travelers. They also have Amihan Room and Garden Room which costs P4, 000 per night, both rooms  offer high-end amenities

For families or small-groups that are on vacation, they have a Family Loft which is spacious. It has two floors which is ideal for some quality time and bonding. The rate is P3, 500 per night.  Tourists who want to have a room that overlooks the ocean, they have an Ocean View accommodation that costs P4, 000 per night.

They also offer a Dormitory for larger groups who are on a budget. The (two) rooms are well-equipped with all the basic room necessities. Like the other accommodations, it is also air-conditioned complete with cable TV, telephone and twelve (12) single beds. The rate is P5, 500 per night.

Activities here include jet skiing, banana boat, snorkeling and scuba diving. The resort also offers fun tours which makes it popular. Among the choices are the whole-day island tour, the Sunken Cemetery snorkeling, island hopping and a tour to the famous white Sandbar of Camiguin. It is just three minutes away from the resort.

Tourists will be relaxed in the best accommodations and urban amenities that Paras Beach Resort offers. So, it is a must visit tourist attraction for those who wants to be rewarded by the beauty of nature.

How to get there:  

From Manila, you can take a direct flight going to Cagayan de Oro City through major airline companies such as Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Air Philippines. Travel time is approximately one hour and twenty minutes.

You can also take direct flights going to CDO from Cebu City. Upon reaching Cagayan de Oro City airport, tourists can take a taxi or van bound for Agora Bus Terminal. From the terminal, ride a bus or van going to Balingoan Port (maximum travel time is three hours).

Upon reaching Balingoan Port, take a ferry boat going to Benoni Port in Camiguin. From there, you can take a van, jeepney or multicab going to Paras Beach Resort which is a thirty-minute ride.

From CDO Airport, you can also take a taxi or van going to CDO Macabalan Port. From there, you can have a direct trip bound for Benni Port in Camiguin.
