Pagesnapp Won the AngelHack MNL 2013


Team Pagesnapp might be returning to their regular routine today, but after winning the first ever AngelHack Manila, they will surely be stepping on a more challenging path ahead. The team is composed of Marvin Consuegra, Raymund Delfin, Mio Galang, Jay Albano, and Rolly Rulete. With four members flying all the way from Davao and one coming from Pampanga, Team Pagesnapp clearly showed the motivation and drive to bag the prize of USD20,000 cash, USD20,000 worth of services from sponsors, 12 weeks of mentoring from IdeaSpace, and a trip to Silicon Valley to meet angel investors.

Pagesnapp Won the AngelHack MNL 2013

Team Pagesnapp might be returning to their regular routine today, but after winning the first ever AngelHack Manila, they will surely be stepping on a more challenging path ahead. The team is composed of Marvin Consuegra, Raymund Delfin, Mio Galang, Jay Albano, and Rolly Rulete. With four members flying all the way from Davao and one coming from Pampanga, Team Pagesnapp clearly showed the motivation and drive to bag the prize of USD20,000 cash, USD20,000 worth of services from sponsors, 12 weeks of mentoring from IdeaSpace, and a trip to Silicon Valley to meet angel investors.

Pagesnapp is a service that creates a mobile app for a business just by getting information from its official Facebook page. This provides a very simple solution for businesses that want their own mobile apps. By using Pagesnapp, these businesses will be able to target a wider range of customers in their mobile platform.

Notable judges like Winston Damarillo (founder of Exist and Morphlabs), Ann Jacobe (founder of Shoephoric.com), Josh Costine (TechCrunch), Raph Munsch (founder of Metrodeal.com), Frederic Levy (founder of CashCashPinoy.com), Beryl Li (SeedAsia), Alvin Gendrano (Microsoft), and Jay Yao (international graphic designer) unanimously voted Pagesnapp as the top prize of the competition. Pagesnapp won over more than 40 other teams composed of 250+ participants, which include the other finalists like AskYourBiz, CallMe, EVenue, Mingle, NearbyGeeks, Pinoy Explorer, Quizza, RouteScout, TrueSwift, YRBK, and Zander.

The Pagesnapp team will be flying to Silicon Valley in September, along with the AngelHack winners from 32 other cities abroad, to pitch their startup ideas to potential investors and funders. They will also attend TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, the biggest startup conference in the world.

This has been a very eventful weekend for the tech and startup communities. AngelHack has really set the bar for the upcoming hackathons and programming competitions that will happen in the country. Of course, Pagesnapp is a very worthy winner of the first ever AngelHack Manila 2013.
