Yesterday, February 14, the UST Faculty of Engineering held a mobile app competition which was open to all 3rd year and 4th year students. The participants showed their talents, skills, and creativity in developing applications that can be deployed on mobile phones and tablets. A total of 10 entrants were shortlisted and had the chance to introduce their applications to the panel.
It was a very close fight and the judges had a hard time deciding who the winners would be. In the end, Shanice Sanchez won third place with her Fly Tapper. Second place was given to Adrian Gene Reyes who developed the Roach Buster. Michael John Peña, developer of the Philippine Taxi, was awarded as the champion.
The three winners were each given a MyPhone A818 Slim Duo. The official awarding ceremony for the whole Engineering Week will be held tomorrow. Special thanks to Engr. Geraldo De La Vega and Engr. Eugene Ramirez who facilitated the event.
