Islets of Zamboanga Sibugay

The Philippine archipelago is blessed with islands and islets surrounded with waters teeming with marine life and a plethora of underwater colors that attract tourists and leave them in awe. The best destinations in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay are the Olutanga Island, Pandilusan Island, and Litayon Island.

Olutanga Island

The mangroves of Olutanga Island protect the shorelines from damaging storms, winds, waves, and floods. Folks in the placed also help to prevent erosion by stabilizing sediments with snarled roots systems and maintaining the water quality and clarity, filtering pollutants and trapping sediments originating from lands.

Pandilusan Island

It is situated in Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay, an hour and a half hours away from the town of Ipil. The water in the island is very cool and refreshing, so it’s no wonder that tourists visit the place. Also, its pure white sand will remind you of talcum powder. This island gets submerged in water during high tide.

Litayon Island

The stunning Litayon Island is located in the municipality of Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay. The tranquil blue water and the calm surroundings will give you the best relaxation time of your life. Like Pandilusan Island, it gets submerged in water during high tide.
