Globe Telecom recently inaugurated its contemporary and stylish regional office in Cebu in line with the telecommunication provider’s thrust of continually improving employee experience through creation of a work environment that promotes greater collaboration and innovation.
The Globe Tower-Cebu draws inspiration from The Globe Tower, its corporate headquarters in Bonifacio Global City, formally inaugurated in August last year. “We recognize that providing our employees with the work tools, environment and culture that enhance collaboration and innovation is a major factor if we were to deliver wonderful customer experience for our 40 million subscribers. The Globe Tower in Cebu, just like our regional office in Davao, mirrors the features of our main headquarters precisely to provide most satisfying work experience for our employees,” Globe President & CEO Ernest Cu said.
While the exterior façade of the building has not been changed, the interiors have been redesigned to reflect the elements of its main office in Manila. The Globe Tower-Cebu, just its other offices, now makes use of the open office concept to foster greater collaboration and transparency. Instead of being given private rooms, executives are seated and clustered with their teams, providing an avenue of constant information-exchange and teamwork.
The facility also features themed breakout areas per floor, centralized conference center at the 2nd floor, cashless dining hall where use of GCash is the only mode of payment and an Employee Center which houses IT and wellness services. Similar to its headquarters in Manila, The Globe Tower Cebu is equipped with ergonomically-designed Herman Miller office furniture, creating the most comfortable work stations for employees.
To further encourage collaboration not only within the regional office but more importantly with their colleague’s nationwide, Globe employees in Cebu utilize Google business solutions and tools, which enhance mobility and provide employees flexibility to deliver more for customers, supportive of a 24-7 service. Google Apps is a suite of online productivity and collaboration tools that include products like Gmail, Google Drive, Google+ and Google Calendar. These tools provide in-house communication breakthrough, allowing employees to hold meetings online, share videos or data with ease, as well as chat and meet online.
Located in Cebu Business Park, a premier business district development in central Philippines, The Globe Tower Cebu houses more than 250 employees.
