Cebu is home to two of the most exclusive and expensive golf country clubs in the Philippines, the Cebu Country Club in Banilad and the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo Hills. Usually flocks by thousands of golf enthusiasts year by year, these country clubs offers the complete amenities and facilities that will surely satisfy visitors.

  • Cebu Country Club

The Cebu Country Club is a golf and country club resort complex that features a par 71, 18-hole championship golf course, landscaped terrain, gardens, villas furnished with ground coral rock. Since its establishment in 1928, it has become an exclusive private club in Cebu City.

Located in Banilad, Cebu City, Cebu Country Club has been one of the favorite golf destinations for both local and foreign golf enthusiasts. Though the club has private membership, it is also open for guests and tourists.

The Cebu Country Club is complete with amenities and facilities such as clubhouse, restaurant and bar, tea houses, locker rooms for men and women, bowling alley, sports gear shop, swimming pool, tennis court, and badminton court. The golf club is also the site of the yearly Philippine Air Lines Interclub Golf Tournament and some legs of the Philippine Golf Circuit.

Cebu Country Club is located in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City, and is about 20 minutes from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The club is accessible via taxicab or rent-a-car and by public transport such as jeepneys since the club is in front of the Banilad Road, one of the busiest thoroughfares in the city.

  • The Alta Vista Golf and Country Club

Another famous club in Cebu that is famous for foreign and local golf enthusiasts is the Vista Golf and Country Club located in Pardo Hills, Cebu City. Like the Cebu Country Club in Banilad, it is a private club but also open for guests and tourists.

The country club features a challenging mountain course of 6100 yards. Facilities and amenities of the club include a driving range, tea houses, a professional gear sports shop, male and female changing rooms, restaurant and several bars, a lounge, a function room, and a children’s playground. Other amenities that will enjoy by guests are a ballroom and audiovisual room, covered tennis and basketball courts, tenpin bowling alley, swimming pools, fitness gym, and a Jacuzzi and sauna.

One good thing is that visitors will also take pleasure in the fascinating view of Mactan and Bohol islands as well as the Mactan Bay.

The Alta Vista Golf and Country Club is located on Aznar Road, Pardo Hills, Cebu City. The golf club is about 30 minutes ride by taxicab from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Mactan Island and about eight kilometers from the downtown area of Cebu City. The club is generally accessible by taxicabs or rent-a-car if you come from the airport or your hotel.

How to Get to Cebu

By air, from Manila, there are daily flights going to Cebu City. By sea, Cebu City's domestic port is the country's busiest. Cebu City is home to almost 80 percent of the country's passenger vessels. The country's largest shipping lines, namely WG&A, Sulpicio Lines, Trans-Asia, George & Peter Lines and Lorenzo Shipping Lines, are headquartered in Cebu. Large passenger ferries with a capacity of 2,000 to 4,000 passengers ply the more distant routes such as Manila, Davao, Butuan City, Zamboanga, and Cagayan de Oro.
