Filipino's are highly influenced by Chinese community. Most of the filipino people do believe in luck and follow chinese rules and superstition beliefs. Filipinos do believe that following chinese practices could help them attract prosperity, safety,luck, closer family ties and peace.
Most Filipino-Chinese families usually designs their houses according to Chinese superstitions. They prepare stuffs like putting money in red envelopes, serve sweet foods and display various food and fruits on a table, which is believed to invite good fortune. They also sets incense smoke, put coins in different parts of the house, and participating chinese chants and events such as dragon dance.
