Baler is a second-class municipality in the province of Aurora, Philippines. It is the provincial capital of Aurora.
It was discovered by Google in 2009 as it tops the list of best beach destinations in the Philippines. It was named "top surf spots" in the Philippines by Yahoo! Diguisit falls
Easily accessible along the highway going to Diguisit Rock Formations, Diguisit is a small waterfall that cascades through a cliff emptying in a kettle-like rock down below, then cascades down again along boulders leading to the basin near the road and on to the sea. No entrance fee, a beautiful place, it's creative rock formations, cool, not cold waters which will truly land relaxing to your back. however the place is not that well keeped because of garbages in it's place left by visitors.
Diguisit rock formations
Along the seaside is an amazing natural rock formations battered by crashing waves, definitely an eye-catching spot for tourists. Towering waves relentlessly pound the base of the formations, challenging even the most intrepid of rock climbers.
Baler Church
The Baler Church lies south of the Quezon Memorial Park, near the town museum. It is a historic church constructed from stone and brick that is originally constructed in 1611, the church is dedicated to San Luis Obispo de Tolosa and is known as the site of the Siege of Baler. The current church was rebuilt in 1939 but it's original details can still be seen inside, including the old bell, La Campana de Baler. There are markers that indicate the locations where events connected with the Siege of Baler took place.
Museum de Baler
This well preserved museum keeps artifacts and paintings about the history of Aurora, exhibits on the ethnic groups Dumagat and Ilongot, and photos including the memorabilia of native son Manuel L. Quezon, the 2nd Philippine president. There is a section regarding the Siege of Baler, with some film props from the local film "Baler."
Dicasalarin Cove
The mountain, forrest, and beach enchanting and serene view, Dicasalarin Cove is a private beach owned by the Angaras which ranked no.3 best attractions in Baler. It's fine white sand, the wavy waters of the cove, or the cold river waters running down the mountain eventually meeting with the welcoming sea waiting for you to sleep in touch.
Ditumabo Falls
Also known as the Mother Falls, Ditumabo is the tallest waterfall in Aurora Province that is located at Barangay Ditumabo, San Luis, Aurora, The Ditumabo Falls is about 50 meters high and falls on a 30 meter wide basin which provides a natural cold swimming pool. Usually, the trip to Ditumabo Falls is one of the many tourist spots in Aurora that is offered by tricycle operators that you can all visit in a day-tour worth Php 800. Trekking in to the Mother Falls will be free of charge.
