Casa de Segunda Katigbak is an ancestral house named after Segunda Katigbak, reputed to be the first love of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the Philippines' national hero. The casa is a typical “Bahay na Bato” located at 198 Calle Rizal, Lipa City, Batangas. It is Spanish Colonial in style, yet tropical in ambiance.

The house was transformed by Didi Dimayuga, a great granddaughter of Katigbak into a museum. The casa was declared by the National Historical Commission as a heritage house for having harbored generations of artists, poets, and persons of learning and distinction.

How to get there

From Metro Manila, you can reach Tagaytay via the Coastal Road or South Superhighway. There are buses in Pasay, Metro Manila that have trips going to Nasugbu or Balayan, passing Tagaytay on the way. If you are going through the SSH or South Superhighway from Manila, take the Sta. Rosa Exit and turn right after paying the toll fee. Drive straight until you reach Tagaytay City. It is just about 20 minutes from Sta. Rosa Exit. You can also take the Carmona Exit and drive down to Silang until you reach the entrance to Tagaytay.
