Overview
Cagwait White Beach Resort is formerly known as “Waikiki Beach” of the Philippines. It was dubbed that way by the famous pilot Charles Lindberg during his visits. The beach is situated in the town of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur. Today, the beach is recognized as the “Boracay of Caraga” where the yearly Kaliguan Festival is held every 24th of June. It is visited by many people during the summer season.
There are affordable cottages in the area that are for rent. The management of the beach is done by the local people. They are very nice and hospitable.
You will surely enjoy your swimming because the waters of the sea are cold. You can enjoy making different sand castles, playing ball, or rolling in the sand. Your outing will be more enjoyable with your families and barkadas.
The beach area is surrounded with a rainforest. You can take shade from the towering coconut and palm trees. The breeze is so fresh and you can spend your time just walking along the fine sand of the shore.
