Boracay is featured as the World’s Best Overall Island and Top Island in Asia last 2012 by Travel Leisure magazine, the title includes all the beaches within the island and Ilig-Iligan Beach is one of them. Boracay is a destination known for its powdery white sand where tourists love to stay and enjoy it.
Tourists who want to have some privacy; Ilig-Iligan Beach is a perfect hideaway. It only has two small resorts and a local karaoke bar. The beach offers several coves and caves. One can also see the impressive jungle where giant fruit bats can be seen. One can have the services of local Boracay island boys to guide them to the Bat Caves.
The beach is accessible by road via motorbike, one can also hike it. Its sand is not powdery as the other beaches of Boracay, but one can surely walk cool on a high noon. The water that surrounds the area is pristine with changing variations from blue to turquoise.
One can also see a lot of rocks nearby the shore which makes it perfect for diving and snorkeling. There is also an interesting marine diversity that can be found in the deep water. Tourists who can hike farther, at the north end of the beach there are several coves and caves that waits to be discovered.
The beach is far more secluded but one can enjoy the tranquility of the area. Anyway, visitors can enjoy this beach and they can treat it as a private beach. More and more visitors treat it as a paradise, and they even want it to be protected against any type of modern large scale developments.
