Masbate is a successful island-region when it comes to preserving its natural environment.  This stunning land is filled with an abundance of natural wonders like natural springs, waterfalls, green hills and rich marine reserves. Matangtubig Natural Spring is one of these amazing wonders of nature, located in Monreal, Masbate.

Its very beautiful and attractive. Many of the locals visited this area to have fun and enjoyment at this spring. The ambiance of the site is very refreshing and rejuvenating.

This spring is a very unique spring in having three sources, one of which is a spring that comes out of a rock.  Streams surrounded by green plants and trees serve as decorations around the spring.

Matang Tubig is one of the most beautiful places in Masbate province. It is also a good spot to visit and spend summer vacations. The water from the stream is very clean, clear and cold, which is very relaxing to soothe tired bodies and spirits.

The people close to the area use the spring as the source of their water as the water is pure and potable. It’s fresh because the water comes from many small streams from up in the mountains.

Near the stream is a waterfall  where one can experience the cascading water as well as take a dip.

The place is very peaceful and quiet. Try and visit this place as you will surely enjoy this place.

How to get there

There is a flight from Manila going to Masbate City in Philippine airlines, AirPhilExpress and Zest Air. You can take a tricycle outside the airport going to the center. From the city center you can hire another tricycle going to Bituon Beach and from there you can hire a pump boat going to Buntod Islet and Sandbar.
