Lanao Del Norte, famed to be the “Land of Beauty and Bounty”, is a home for many foreign and local tourists  during summer. The province boasts of its many majestic waterfalls and beautiful beaches visited by many adventurers, explorers, and beach bums.

Located at the southwestern part of the province of Lanao Del Norte, Sultan Naga Dimaporo is the perfect starting point for exploring Lanao Del Norte’s beaches. It is blessed with a golden sunrise peeking out from the open sea. It is also wondrously preserved by protective coves. Plunge into Sultan Naga Dimaporo’s underwater world and you will discover a fantastic view of a multi-hued coral ecosystem. It is a haven for dolphins, whales, marine turtles, and the endangered sea cow (dugong).

Pikalawag Public Beach is a much visited place for sea adventures. Aside from rich underwater resources, the beach is blessed with very fine sand. It is a good place for family bondings, sweet relaxations, and enjoyment of the good sceneries that the beach offers.

Found in Balagatasa Resort, Calao Beach Resort is another must-see destination in Lanao. It is equipped with cottages and picnic sheds. The resort also accepts functions with catering services.

Limanon Beach is in the eastern gateway to Lanao Del Norte. It is found at Linamon and considered as the “Beach Capital of Lanao del Norte”. Experience its fine beaches spanning almost the entire coastal area of the municipality comprised of 16 established beach resorts.

Located in Rupagan, Bacolod Macboy Beach Resort has a lot to offers. It can accommodate 50 to 100 persons for live-in trainings. They also have air-conditioned and non-air conditioned cottages with very reasonable prices. The resort has a restaurant by the sea where you can enjoy the passionate ambiance of the area.

The province of Lanao is blessed with its pristine coastal waters creating perfect beaches which are the main attractions for many tourists. It is good stuff for every tourist who is looking for a nice vacation spot.

How to get there

The fastest and the most convenient way is to take a plane to Ozamis City, with daily flights from manila for 1 hour and 20 minutes. From Ozamis City take the Roll on, Roll off (RORO) ferries to Mukas, Kolambugan. From Mukas, buses and passenger vans are readily available to take you to Tubod (the provincial capital of Lanao del Norte) in just 15 minutes.
